We are Community Bible Fellowship Church (of Red Hill, PA). http://www.communityredhill.org/
1 Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers,
2 but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,
and who meditates on his law day and night.
3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither—
whatever they do prospers.
Our Pastor, Dr. James Arcieri, has often emphasized the great Biblical parallel (Psalm 1) that humans are indeed like trees. Those that plant their roots by the stream of living water, grow and prosper for the kingdom of God. Our everyday lives get lost in the haze of focusing on the leaves of each tree (how we behave), and not redirecting our thoughts instead to the roots of each tree (the thoughts and intents of our hearts). The roots are what truly dictate the fruits. As Christians, we are not simply interested in behavior modification. We should be primarily concerned with whats below the surface. Jesus’s earthy ministry and teaching always emphasized our heart’s motivations and intentions. Surely even to this day, the risen Lord Jesus Christ is on a blood bought rescue mission to do work in our hearts at the deepest level.
This blog exists to help deepen all of the roots of our hearts in Biblical truth. Our goal is to magnify the life, ministry, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ for your joy and God’s Glory. Blog posts will primarily consist of digging up tremendous truths of scripture for your life application, important ministry updates for our local congregation, and providing a loud and clear cross-centered voice to local community happenings. All of which will act as an overflow of our Sunday morning worship teaching, May you be blessed!
We encourage all readers to attend a Gospel centered church in your area, for your own personal growth and fellowship. If you’re in the Upper Perkiomen valley of Pennsylvania, we’d be happy to welcome you to Community Bible Fellowship church.
